Editorial policy
Emerald Living Review aims to make its interior coverage clear, considered and useful without presenting taste as fact. We explain the reasoning behind our advice and distinguish observation from opinion.
Accuracy and clarity
We take care with descriptions, definitions and factual claims, and we review copy for clarity before publication. Where a topic turns on context or personal preference, we say so rather than presenting one choice as universally right. Readers can use the Contact page to flag an error or ask about a claim.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the usefulness and relevance of a story to readers. A commercial relationship does not determine our conclusions, and partner material is kept distinct from independent editorial coverage.
Corrections
If we find a material error, we correct the affected text and make the change clear when appropriate. Please include the article title, the passage in question and any information that helps us check it when writing through the Contact page.
Partner material and illustrations
Sponsored or partner material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary photographs.
